Ripple has transferred another large chunk of XRP to Jed McCaleb’s wallet, helping several top crypto exchanges move 110 million XRP.
Former Ripple chief technology officer Jed McCaleb, who co-founded the DLT company with Chris Larsen, received another major XRP transfer from Ripple: 408 million XRP.
The data was shared by the Whale Alert crypto monitoring platform. Also, several major crypto exchanges, including Bitso, have transferred 110 million XRP tokens between each other.
Jed McCaleb Started Selling
A large amount of XRP has been transferred to McCaleb’s “tacostand” wallet: 408,123,659 tokens. This amount equated to approximately $420,345,541 at the time of writing.
According to data shared by the XRPscan platform, today Jed McCaleb started selling his new stash of XRP and sent 16,353,884 XRP. Jed will sell this amount of XRP this week. According to XRPscan, it has been selling the same amount of XRP every day since May 30. Ripple Labs co-founder and creator of competitor Stellar currently has 633,699,648 XRP in his digital wallet. As previously stated, the community expects McCaleb’s XRP riches to run out by the end of August.
110 Million XRP Transfers Made
Whale Alert also detected a total of 110 million XRP transfers. Twenty million XRP from this amount was moved to the Bitso exchange. A total of 61,999,980 XRP transfers were made, including US-based Coinbase. Also, Bittrex moved 18 million XRP to Upbit in two transfers.
