Micro-blogging platform Twitter ‘s paid subscription service called ” Twitter Blue ” has been unofficially confirmed , with a purchase page posted on the App Store .
Twitter’s App Store page now has an option to subscribe to Twitter Blue for $2.99 per month . While this option doesn’t appear to be live yet , researcher Jane Manchun Wong wrote on Thursday what privileges it will offer, noting that she has subscribed to the service via a tweet .
Colorful icons and reader mode
According to Wong, Twitter Blue will come with color themes and custom app icons , while a reader mode will also be featured soon . The second feature is expected to be a user interface (UI) tweak that makes longer tweets easier to detect .
Wong had previously discovered the ” Undo Tweet ” option , an active timer that gives users a chance to cancel the publication of a tweet . A new ” Collections ” feature will also reportedly allow users to save and organize tweets to remember later . It’s unclear whether “Undo Tweet” and “Collections” are currently active .
On the other hand , it is not yet known when Twitter plans to announce Twitter Blue , but we can say that the launch of the subscription service seems imminent.
