Staff at Cardano’s (ADA) development team Input Output HK briefed the community on the process of testing Alonzo mechanisms.

According to the statement made on the official Twitter account of IOHK. The first phases of the Alonzo testnet called Blue have been successfully completed.

The first division of stake pool operators and leading testers set up their nodes. Also, Cardano’s hardfork coordinator allowed a smooth transition of the testnet to Alonzo.

However, some within the team and community have identified a number of issues with the operation of Cardano’s testnet. Various exercises related to emerging issues will be shown on the Alonzo testnet Github.

Approaching Enabling Smart Contracts

He added that the IOHK development and integration progress continues “behind the scenes.” The team asked Cardano stake pool operators to “make friends” and introduce Alonzo to their colleagues.

Hardfork was nicknamed “Alonzo” to immortalize American mathematician and computer science innovator Alonzo Church (1903-1995). The most anticipated upgrade of 2021 for Cardano (ADA) is expected to be released shortly.
