Google Gboard on-screen keyboard now available on Wear OS smartwatches

Gboard, the on-screen keyboard developed by technology giant Google, can now be used in Wear OS-based smartwatch models.

Google’s Gboard on- screen keyboard has long been available on devices running Android , iOS, and Android TV . It will soon be available to Wear OS -based smartwatch owners. Google said this development was “a faster and easier way to exchange messages” using wearable devices .

Wear OS is currently using Google Keyboard . With the new keyboard, users will have access to a more convenient user interface with icons at the top for quick access to the emoji collection, numeric keypad and voice input functionality . Previously, it was not possible to access the microphone from the keyboard interface .

Will be available to all users

Another feature of Gboard for Wear OS is that it provides predictive text input support when different word endings are presented to the user while writing text. The developers also introduced support for text input using scrolling and the ability to type in different languages . You can switch between different keyboard options right within the app , just click on the corresponding icon and select the language you want . Gboard will receive updates for all languages supported by Wear OS .

According to reports , the distribution of Gboard for Wear OS to all devices will begin “in the coming days “. This means it will take some time for the Gboard keyboard to be available to all Wear OS smartwatch users .
