The deposit contract is the first major element of Ethereum (ETH) infrastructure. Future validators of Ethereum 2.0 must deposit a minimum of 32 ETH to take their place in proof-of-stake Ethereum.
$13.1 Billion Locked
According to data from Glassnode Alerts, the Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract value has managed to hit an all-time high.
At the time of writing, 5,209,474 Ether was transferred to the Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract. Considering that Ethereum is currently being traded at $ 2,648, the amount of available deposits is just over $ 13.1 billion.
Eth2Validators noted on Friday that more than 161,000 participants were involved in the ecosystem. It was stated by analysts that almost 95% of them are active.
A new validator is added to Ethereum 2.0 every 7-8 minutes on Etherscan. This is why almost 4.5% of all Ethereum supply is now allocated in a proof-of-stake deposit contract.
