China’s Search Engines Block Binance, Huobi, and OKEx

Leading blockchain reporter Colin Wu and news agency 8BTC claimed that leading search engines such as Baidu and Sogou blocked popular cryptocurrency exchanges Binance , Huobi, and OKEx .

Weibo (China’s Twitter) is also reportedly blocking search results for these exchanges. This appears to be a continuation of the recently reinstated cryptocurrency ban by China .

As we reported earlier, authorities in Xinjiang province in China ordered cryptocurrency miners to cease their activities. Colin Wu reported that some miners ignored the order and watched the situation evolve.

Xinjiang is China’s strategic energy region due to its large natural gas, coal and other fossil resources.
