CD Projekt Red shared detailed information regarding its future plans. The next generation version of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will be released later this year.
Popular in the gaming industry with The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 games, CD Projekt Red has announced its future plans. Especially after the problematic debut of Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR has made some decisions.
As you know, the promised big patch of Cyberpunk 2077 was released yesterday evening. From now on, the studio will deal with new games, extra content of existing games, and next-generation updates of old games. Here are all the important details in CDPR’s latest releases.
What Will CD Projekt Offer in 2021?
Although the exact date is not given, the patches and updates of Cyberpunk 2077 will continue in 2021. While the game will be made more stable with these patches, many free DLCs will be released for the game. Also, this year, new generation special versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released.

When we look at The Witcher side, the only content is not the new generation special version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In addition, The Witcher: Monster Slayer, a Pokemon GO style game, will be released this year, and finally, new content will be added for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game.
Cyberpunk 2077’s Online Mode Can Be Canceled
As you know, it was said that the game will be an online mode before Cyberpunk 2077 is released, but it will be dealt with as a separate game, not like a mode. In the statements made in the past months, they said that the online mode was kept waiting until Cyberpunk 2077 was corrected.
CD Projekt Red president Adam Kicinski said they will reconsider these plans. So we can think that the project is pending for now and there is a possibility that it will be canceled completely. Regardless, it is good news that CD Projekt is more cautious about this issue.
CD Projekt Will Develop Multiple AAA Games Simultaneously After 2022!
Apart from the plans announced for this year, CD Projekt also reported some new developments for the future situations. First of all, CD Projekt Red announced that it has purchased the game development studio called Digital Scapes Studios in Vancouver, Canada. This new studio will support CD Projekt in its future games.
When we look at the other statements, we can see that CD Projekt’s work intensifies after 2022. Next year, CD Projekt Red will increase the number of its employees, and they are planning to work on new games of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 brands. From 2022, CD Projekt Red will start developing multiple AAA, ie high-budget games at the same time. They had already announced that they would develop the new Witcher game.
Finally, CD Projekt Red also made a promise for the advertisement part. They announced that they were aware that Cyberpunk 2077’s long-running advertising campaign was causing problems and that they would organize shorter advertising campaigns and manage this process better in the next period. As you know, Cyberpunk 2077 was announced in 2012 and until 2020, the excitement of the players increased exponentially.
