The 5.9 inch Samsung E4 AMOLED display welcomes us in the Asus Zenfone 8 . Full HD resolution is available on the energy efficient screen. Besides the 120Hz refresh rate, there is a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
Protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, the screen is HDR10 + certified and covers 112 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. While the brightness value reaches the limit of 1100 nits, the fingerprint reader is also integrated into the screen. For the first time, we see that an Asus phone has IP68 certification. 3 different functions can be assigned to a special button on the side.
Powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, the model has 6GB / 8GB / 16GB LPDDR5 RAM memory and 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage memory. Dual stereo speakers powered by dual Cirrus Logic amplifiers use DIRAC audio technologies. The triple microphone has OZO Audio noise canceling technology.
On the back, a 64MP resolution Sony IMX686 sensor is used. The OIS-supported sensor can combine four pixels to get more detailed images. While recording 8K 24fps video, Dual Pixel auto focus technology is used. The second camera has 12MP resolution Sony IMX363 and can shoot ultra-wide shots with 4cm macro. The front camera uses a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor. These two sensors have a 4K recording feature.
The 4000mAh battery of the phone, which protects the 3.5mm headphone jack as well as the USB Type-C input, is supported by 30W HyperCharge fast charging. There is also support for QC 4.0 and USB PD standards. The Asus Zenfone 8 model has a price tag of 700 Euros, but a discount of 100 Euros will be applied for a short time.
